I have just acquired this Kitchen Hoosier Cupboard for the shop, and I am fortunate to have found one in working order. These are popular items and very utilitarian. They have been sold for their intended use as a baking center, and also as a pantry, for nurseries, linen cabinets, etc. This is a useful and decorative piece, and this one is oak with a painted factory interior. It has a flour sifter, sugar jar, spice rack, metal bread drawer with cover, pie and cookie cooler and two maple cutting boards. Even all of the original cardboard timers and recipe suggestions have been preserved. This cupboard has the original porcelain top for a cool surface. The brackets holding the top and bottom together are original as is the tambour front which houses the sugar jar. This is a beautiful country piece that has been well loved and would look charming in any country home. This cupboard dates from 1910 to 1920 and was made by one of the many manufacturers in Indiana at that time, thus the name "Hoosier". Don't miss this clean piece to complete your look!
