Oak Curio Cabinet - $3500

44 1/4" wide x 17" deep x 71" high

You have requested curio cabinets. Here is a top of the line example of the turn of the century Oak Curio Cabinet. This item was purchased from a Westbrook, Maine home and is in pristine original condition including the finish. We can safely say that we have never had a nicer curio to sell here at the Barn on 26. We were thrilled with the condition and the history. This piece was delivered to the Westbrook home from the store and never moved. We are dating this piece 1900-1910. The back of this cabinet is all original and is constructed of reversed raised panel quarter sawn oak, which is the highest and strongest construction available. The 3 pieces of glass (the door and each side) are completely original and in perfect condition. Each one of the 4 shelves has a double plate groove for displaying dinnerware and platters. The classical carving at the top of this cabinet is most fitting and does not detract from the graceful simple lines. The cabinet is supported by 4 bun feet also constructed of solid quarter sawn oak. The hinges are original as is the lock, the escutcheon and the key. Even the 4 wooden casters, which are removable, are original to the piece. We do not plan on refinishing this piece as it is in pristine condition. We have simply cleaned it and presented it to you for your perusal. Shipping, insurance and delivery arrangements are available, so please feel free to contact us regarding this fabulous Curio Cabinet.
