White egg 4 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide. Yellow egg 5" long x 3 1/2" wide.
These Limoges China Eggs are clearly marked "Limoges France" on the bottom. One has a white background with violets and butterflies, and the other has yellow with gold trim and blue and white flowers. The eggs were popular during the 1930s, and were used on dresser tops to hold hair accessories. They were a decorative piece as well as useful, making dresser top items look pretty. These eggs can be sold separately or as a pair at a special price.
