Here is an early SETTLE BENCH, circa 1810 or earlier.This has weathered barn boards and square nails and shows some lovely wear.The seat and sides are each single boards that have had many hands on them throughout the years.The bench has red paint on it over gray and is distressed with marks and blemishes that have been acquired through many years of use.Authentic settle benches are rare as these benches are often re-produced.This one is for the rustic lover and can be used outside in a protected setting or in a country kitchen or seasonal room.
