GONE WITH THE WIND LAMP - $795

12" wide x 34" high.

Here is a truly gorgeous Jumbo Gone With the Wind Lamp manufactured by the Plume & Atwood Co., circa 1890. This lamp is clearly marked “P & A Co. Royal” on the wick adjustment. The Royal was a particular style exclusive to Plume & Atwood Co. P & A was akin to the popular Bradley & Hubbard Company that operated during the same era, but Plume & Atwood offered a larger more diversified selection of lamps. This particular lamp has various shades of green, brown and rose on the hand-painted globe and base. The footed brass base of the lamp is embossed with neo-classical faces on each of the 4 feet and a basket weave design above. Although this lamp has been electrified, the integrity of the piece has not been destroyed since it could still be converted back to kerosene should the purchaser prefer. This lamp is truly a work of art and makes a statement about the grand Victorian era of the 1800’s. Many of these lamps have been destroyed over time, so take a good look at this pristine original piece of Victorian lighting. We could easily ship, so contact us for a quote including insurance.
