Featured Item

Measures 14 in. Long X 4.75 in. Deep X 22.5 in. High.

This WALNUT GINGERBREAD SHELF CLOCK has a sticker on the back indicating that it was cleaned on Jan. 26, 1910. That would mean that it was built around 1900, by the New Haven Clock Co., in New Haven, Conn. The New Haven Clock Company prospered under the leadership of Hiram Camp producing half a million clocks in 1880. It is no longer in business, although pocket watches and wrist watches were also made by the company which went out of business in 1960. This particular shelf clock has a case made of solid walnut, and the original face showing Roman numerals indicating the hour. This is a great antique clock with a charming look that runs perfectly.
