This is a most unusual Oak Library Bookcase made by Gaylord Bros. Inc. (See brass plaque). I am calling this a library bookcase since it was probably intended as a display piece in a library setting originally. The quarter sawn oak is outstanding throughout this piece, and it is a simple design with a look of class. Books can be displayed as shown in a bookstore or both sides can hold multiple volumes in your home library setting. This is a unique piece from the late 19th century. It has been professionally repaired and refinished for your enjoyment.
