These 4 chairs are a matched set, sturdy and attractive. They have wooden seats and 9 spindles in the curved back. There are hip huggers on each chair to add to the sturdy construction. Also, there are 8 stretchers securing the legs, which would not be seen on today's chairs. The chairs were made by the Gardner Chair Company of Gardner, Mass., the chair city, sometime during the mid 20th century.
