Caboose Lanterns - $285.00 Each. Sold as a pair only

7" wide x 8 1/4" deep x 20" hogh.

To have a pair of Caboose Lanterns in great condition is quite unusual. These lanterns were used on trains to help the passengers find their way to the Dining Car. The lanterns are complete with the original globes and spring loaded holders so they will stay upright on the train. They are made by the Dresser Company of Atlantic, New Jersey, and are circa 1890. These lanterns are run by kerosene, and there is a can on each for the oil which goes up to an adjustable wick. This is an interesting and unusual piece of railroading from the history of our country.
