Hoosier Cupboard - $1550

This Hoosier Cupboard has been well-preserved throughout the years. It has been restored and is circa 1920. The hardware has the "H" for Hoosier stamped on each piece, indicating that this is a genuine Hoosier Cabinet. The cupboard is very complete with the original flour sifter and the ant cups on each leg. These cups were used for the prevention of food contamination by critters that may be present in the kitchen area. The cupboard was an early baking center with a porcelain top that pulls out and stays cool for pies and cookies. However, this is a popular piece of furniture that can be used for a buffet, a liquor cabinet, a linen cabinet, or whatever the buyer desires. This piece is on display at BARN ON 26 ANTIQUES in Gray, Maine.
