Mulberry China Plate - $55

10" round.

Here is a beautiful example of early Mulberry China, circa 1850. This 10" plate still has brilliant color and is slightly crazed, but we consider it to be in mint condition for china from that early era. There is no apparent damage on the plate, and the crazing is from age alone. Mulberry china is a transfer ware made originally by the potters of the Staffordshire region of England. This particular pattern is the Corean design as marked on the bottom of the plate and carries the crouched eagle mark so often found on early Americana pieces. This would make a lovely addition to a collector's grouping and or just used as an accent piece in a country dining area. We have other pieces of Mulberry found in this same listing, and a group price would be acceptable. Contact us for more information.
